I'll need to get the collimation checked. I'm sure it's out a bit. It's close, but off by a bit. I could do it, but I want it done right the first time.Astro-Nutshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14155847359136291872noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2799665056307953287.post-19352390467094357292009-06-11T20:12:33.275-07:002009-06-11T20:12:33.275-07:00Not bad at all Colin, did you have to use a barlow...Not bad at all Colin, did you have to use a barlow to bring your DSLR into focus? It may be out of collimation but that is easy enough to fix, your dad is really good at that or if you need help just call me, did it come with a collimation insert that you put in the eyepiece? Or you could just focus on a bright star and adjust your secondary mirror's 3 screws until you get a tight sharp focus on the star.Bob Johnsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06582050569176409358noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2799665056307953287.post-45284281268112289422009-06-06T22:24:12.604-07:002009-06-06T22:24:12.604-07:00Thanks for stopping by Hemant. Of course, by the time it ever clears up around here, I'll be too old and decrepit that I won't be able to carry it anymore.Astro-Nutshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14155847359136291872noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2799665056307953287.post-1565085218232005082009-06-06T19:25:44.595-07:002009-06-06T19:25:44.595-07:00Congratulations on the new scope. If you're thinking of going out at all over the weekend, please give me a shout.
